• Page URL: When you open the PageSus side panel, we detect the URL of the current tab (specifically linkedin.com pages) to generate a unique "Room ID." This allows you to chat with other users viewing the same page. We do not store your browsing history.
• Chat Messages: Messages you send are transmitted in real-time. While messages are processed by our servers to be delivered to other users, we do not link these messages to your real-world identity or LinkedIn profile.
• Anonymous Identifiers: We generate a random, anonymous user ID for you (e.g., "Anon-123") which is stored locally in your browser to maintain your session.

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information solely for the functionality of the extension:

• To connect you to the correct chat room based on the LinkedIn profile or company page you are viewing.
• To facilitate the transmission of chat messages between users.
• To prevent spam and abuse through rate limiting.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: We use Chrome's storage.local API to save your anonymous preferences (such as muted status) and your random User ID.
• External Servers: Chat messages and active room presence are managed via our backend provider. We employ standard encryption (HTTPS/WSS) for all data in transit.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your data to third parties. We do not use any third-party analytics tools (like Google Analytics) within the extension.
